It’s one of your first times in front of the camera and it’s for something that’s really important to you, your ‘brand’ and your business. You feel the nerves coming in. Let’s be real for a second, unless you’re a model, it’s likely there’ll only have been a few occasions in your life when you have your photo taken professionally. It’s only normal that this will conjure up a mix of emotions for you and leave you feeling nervous. But I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way!

A trend that’s become hugely popular in personal branding photography (and I’m totally here for it!!) - hiring a shoot location.

A massive benefit of hiring a styled home for your shoot means that we’re able to capture a huge variety of images, that are beautifully cohesive.

Here’s one of my favourite photoshoot locations in Northern NSW, Pure-Li Yoga, which is nestled in Clunes (northern close to Byron Bay).

The owner Lise has the most wonderful eye for style and eclectic taste. The property has the vibrant colours and textures everywhere you turn, making it an awesome location for capturing lots of variety.

My shoot with Leonie Dawson was hands down the most fun I’ve EVER had behind the lens!

What made this shoot so damn enjoyable?

Firstly, it was such a breath of fresh air to spend time with someone who’s so grounded, content and happy in their own skin. Leonie is so unapologetically “Leonie” luminous, technicolored, a hippy at heart and oh so hilarious.
